We are a family-owned business located in South Metro Denver, specializing in purchasing quality model train collections, railroad books, and model railroading supplies of all types and scales. These items are sold through our eBay store, this website, and at area train shows and swap meets. We also offer in-person shopping experiences that we like to call “Prospecting.”

Giving Back
All of us at Mother Lode believe that giving back establishes and maintains strong connections to the community we serve. We actively support Youth In Model Railroading (website) through regular donations that help pay it forward and grow the hobby. In addition, we believe that the preservation of 12” Scale Trains (also known as 1:1 Scale) is tremendously important, and we support both The Colorado Railroad Museum (website) and The Narrow Gauge Preservation Foundation (website). We also honor our nation’s true heroes—our Veterans and First Responders—with regular support to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation www.t2t.org.
